I.D.entity
This project was hard in my opinion. From writing the lyrics, knowing what to record, and putting it all together at the end. It was a long process and took a long time to finish. In the beginning I wasn’t sure if I wanted to rap or do spoken word. I ended up choosing to rap. It was my first time rapping and I was scared, nervous, and excited about it. At first I was going to this project on my own but then Nancy and I decided to do it together. We had trouble writing the lyrics so we had help. Once the lyrics were done we went into the studio to record. I was sick at the time and sounded like Squidward and BILLY!! lol (insider). I didn’t like how I sounded so I recorded again and it came out a whole lot better.Nancy and I started recording our video. It was fun. We had a lot of fun with a doorway. When we went to go shoot a scene on a little mountain on the way down I almost fell and brought Nancy down with me it was pretty funny. Our video took a while to finish and after two extra weeks that Randy gave us we finished. We then later found out that we were opening the show and I was scared. When it came down it I was scared, nervous, excited, and just had a good feeling in me. Back stage was crazy I was really scared and I started to forget my lyrics. I had little pep talks with people and that helped me. When it was time to go on stage I was ready. Once I was up there I realized that it wasn’t so bad and I started to enjoy myself. We did good on our performance and I am proud of us. That night was so much fun even though there was a very awkward moment but it was still good. This whole experience was great even though I got frustrated a lot. I guess you can say that I changed from the person I was in the beginning of the year. Can’t forget to say thanks to everyone that was there for me through my struggles.

AKQA
AKQA people! =)
first time walking under the bay bridge
on top of the roof!!
Since I am new to the dsa academy this was the very first field trip with them. The field trip to AKQA was fun. I had a good time. The bart ride was cool. Except there was this one white guy who kept on staring at me. While that was happening Miguel and JR were laughing at me, he was really creepy. Once we got there we walked along the water that was pretty cool. The water looked so pretty. I walked under the bay bridge for the first time i was scared and Felipe keep scaring me saying “what if there’s an earthquake the bridge is gonna fall” and that scared me even more. Once we arrived at AKQA we had to enter through the back because the elevator in the front wasn’t working. I really liked how their offices were set up. The working environment was very relaxing. When Mr.Inamoto came to talk to us he said a quote “it doesnt matter how good you are its how good you want to be” I am glad he said that because it changed my view on a couple of things. After we went on the tour which was pretty cool we began our interviews. I enjoyed interviewing the people who worked there. They were cool and it was interesting learning about their jobs. Eating on the roof was so cool. I had never done something like that and the view was amazing. When we were finally leaving we all went in the same elevator and i thought it was going to get stuck because there was so many of us, in the end we all came out safe. On the way back home everyone was really tried i ended up falling asleep for a bit. This field trip ended up being fun and a great learning experience.

My Photos!!
The pictures i took were of Elaine and Crispus. When i first started to take these pictures i was really lost i didn’t know how to work the camera. It was difficult at first but then you get use to it. It was a fun experience i really enjoyed myself. I’m proud of myself because I saw what I am capable of doing. I would like to improve on making my pictures better and choosing better lighting for my pictures.
